British-competition-CoventryMy name is Daniel Wieczorkowski, my adventure with Taekwon Do starts in Poland when I was 13 years old. My trainer Grzegorz Puzon was a member of Polish National Team and he always put big attention on sparring and self-defence skills. He passed his passion to all of his students including me. Unfortunately, I had an accident which was later connected with some serious health issues, my knee joints give up and I had to stop training for years. In Spring 2005 I left my country and came to England when I was about 27 years old at that time and months later I joined one of the North East Taekwon Do Clubs in South Gosforth. As a Blue Belt, I had to start over from the very beginning, but it didn't take me long to find that old love again for Martial Arts. In the past decade, I was attending in many competitions in England and Scotland, always ready for a challenge and new experience. I have several medals during this time, but nothing will compare to the joy of being a part of something bigger than myself. In martial Arts, I have found a way of living and self-development as a human being.

Now after over 15 years of studying this beautiful Martial Art, I have become a Black Belt 3rd Degree Instructor and I run my own taekwondo School "The North Horangi" in Newcastle upon Tyne. My biggest achievement until today is winning this year British Championship in Coventry on 09th of July 2016. I have won a Gold medal in sparring and a Bronze medal in patterns (age category over 36 years old and weight below 78 kg).

I will still continue my journey and hope you will join me soon...
